She studied in the Little Jewels School for several days and after that she admitted Viqarunnesa Noon School and completed her SSC and HSC study from there. After she was a student of political science at the University of Dhaka. She completed her masters in early childhood development from BRAC University with a Vice Chancellor’s Gold Medal.

She took basic creative dance lessons under Gulam Mustafa of Benuka Dance School and  she was also a student of the art school Nandan. Her some landscape oil paintings were displayed in Drik Gallery in a group exhibition.

Mithila debuted her modeling career in 2002 by a ramp walk in Neelanjana Palli’s fashion show. She appeared in ads for the products of Meril, Bajaj, Close up and Aktel. She was the model in the music video Moyna Go by the musician Habib Wahid and acted in the television serial “House Full”, directed by Redoan Rony. Currently she is a program manager, education at BRAC International.

In 2004, She and Tahsan Rahman Khan met and build a relation. After two years of relationship, they got married. Together they have daughter, Ayra Tehreem Khan. In July 2017, on a Facebook post, the couple announced their divorce.
