Milana was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR with the name Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub. She is a Jew by religion. Milana holds both Russian Jewish, American nationality and belongs to white ethnicity.
She and her parents immigrated to the U.S. as refugees when was two and a half years old and started living in West Hollywood. Vayntrub attended Beverly Hills High School but she dropped out after her 2nd year of her study.
Later she completed her High school study and received a general education degree. Afterward, she received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of California, San Diego.
