Chandan Agarwal was the youngest sibling born to two elder sisters and was also the naughtiest. He always had a keen interest in studies and was a regular class topper. He completed his Class Xth and Class XIIth (O and A Levels) under Cambridge University, the U.K., followed by B.Com in Accounting and Finance from Calcutta University. He later went on to complete his Chartered Accountancy.
He is currently heading CA Chandan Agarwal & Co. (Chartered Accountants), one of the largest Auditing and Assurance service providers in India, offering services like Auditing and Assurance, Taxation, GST, Corporate Financing, Outsourcing, Business Management Services, IFRS, etc. His firm works closely with various sectors including Banking and NBFCs, FMCG, Manufacturing, Retail, Real Estate, Automobiles, Insurance, Hotels, etc.
Chandan Agarwal is also the CEO of Pragyan International University, a Private University established as per Sec 2(f) of UGC, Govt of India. Pragyan International University is a Not-For-Profit University established by his father, Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal, and is being headed under the supervision of the young and dynamic Chandan Agarwal.
He was the recipient of the Keynes Scholarship under Cambridge University during his School days for excellence in Economics and Accounting and has recently been awarded the Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Award for Social and Community Service.
